PANTAGRUEL'S MOUTH , 2010, 4 min 40 sec, 3-channel video installation

Pantagruel's Mouth refers to the adventure story "Pantagruel the King of Dipsodes" by French writer F. Rabelais. In the story the narrator-character gets lost in the mouth of the giant Pantagruel. He finds there a new world - beautiful meadows, forests, small and big cities, nice and bad people etc.

The installation Pantagruel´s Mouth consists of three projections side by side, each showing the passing of a journey. The materials of the installation come from a variety of different movies. Using short citations, I have built another world within the universe of the original movies.

Pentti Dassum has made the soundtrack.
